La Prensa Hosts the 10th Annual Fiesta de la Familia in San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO, CA--(Marketwire - October 12, 2007) - The City of San Bernardino is the new location for the Fiesta de La Familia, the Inland Empire's largest celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Celebrating its 10th year, the popular family event is sponsored by LaPrensa, Inland Southern California's Spanish Language Newspaper and a subsidiary of The Press-Enterprise Company.

"We are pleased to bring our 10th annual Fiesta de la Familia to the city of San Bernardino," said Frank Escobedo, associate publisher of The Business Press and La Prensa. "It's an opportunity to once again share in the culture and the rich heritage of our ancestors with the greater community of Riverside and San Bernardino."

La Prensa made the decision to move Fiesta de la Familia from downtown Riverside to San Bernardino, the city which houses the La Prensa office and a significant coverage area for The Press-Enterprise and La Prensa.

This year, the Grammy Nominated Mariachi Sol de Mexico will headline on Saturday, October 20 and America's first all-female Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles will be performing on Sunday, October 21. A very special addition to the Fiesta is an art exhibit highlighting Hispanic Heritage. Artwork was submitted from Inland Empire residents including K-12 students. All submitted artwork will be showcased during the two-day event.

Fiesta de la Familia celebrates the tastes, sights, sounds and color of Hispanic heritage. The two-day event is scheduled for Saturday, October 20 from 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 21 from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. at Arrowhead Credit Union Park, located at 280 South "E" Street, San Bernardino.
