Lake Shore Gold Announces Management Changes

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 15, 2009) - Lake Shore Gold Corp. (TSX:LSG) ("Lake Shore Gold" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Kelly to the position of Senior Vice-President, Operations and Tina Ouellette to the position of Vice-President, Human Resources. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Mr. Kelly is a Professional Mining Engineer MSc. with over thirty years experience in mining operations and mine engineering. Mike has held senior executive roles with a number of companies including High River Gold Mines, Diavik Mines and Inco Ltd. He began his career with Noranda Inc, and has also worked with Lac Minerals, Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting and Kinross Gold Corp. In his new role, Mike will be responsible for the long term planning, direction and control of mine site operations.

Tina Ouellette is a Certified Human Resource Professional with over twenty years of senior management experience. Ms. Ouellette joined Lake Shore Gold in October 2008 as Director, Human Resources, having previously held senior human resource management positions with FNX Mining Company Inc., the Sudbury Joint Venture, Domtar Forest Products, and Provigo Inc. In her new role, Ms. Ouellette is responsible for labour and employee relations, recruitment, talent and succession planning, compensation planning, and providing strategic human resource direction and guidance in support of the Company's business objectives.
