Landmark Minerals Inc.: Dr. Roger Laine Appointed Vice-President, Exploration

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 16, 2006) - Landmark Minerals (TSX VENTURE:LML) welcomes Roger Laine, Ph.D., P.Geo. as Vice-President, Exploration.

Dr. Laine graduated as a Geological Engineer from the Nancy Polytechnical Institute in France and then earned a Ph.D. in economic geology from the University of Arizona, Tucson. He has more than 30 years' experience in mineral exploration around the world. He spent 15 years working for Cogema (now Areva) in uranium exploration, development, and mining including an eight-year tenure as Vice-President, Exploration for a division of Cogema. Dr. Laine is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, and is a "Qualified Person" in accordance with National Instrument 43-101.

Dr. Laine's responsibilities will include supervising exploration on Landmark's existing properties and assisting with acquisition of new properties.

Landmark Minerals is a junior uranium exploration company based in Vancouver, Canada.
