LatticeECP2M FPGA Family Wins Prestigious EDN China Innovation Award as Leading Programmable Logic Product

HILLSBORO, OR--(Marketwire - November 24, 2008) - Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC) today announced that its LatticeECP2M™ FPGA family has been recognized as a leading product in the annual EDN China Innovation Awards. The award was announced during the awards ceremony held at the 2008 EDN China Innovation Conference in Shenzhen. As one of China's premier electronic design publications, EDN China's Innovation Awards are widely regarded as among the industry's most coveted honors.

The 2008 EDN China Innovation Award finalists were chosen by a committee comprised of technology managers, researchers and an EDN China editor. The committee reviewed 106 nominations from 74 companies, and selected just 69 products from 51 companies as leading products. The LatticeECP2M FPGA family was recognized in the "Digital IC and Programmable Logic" category.

"It is an honor to receive the EDN China Innovation Award, and I accept it on behalf of all those who have been associated with bringing the LatticeECP2M products to the marketplace," said Doug Hunter, Lattice's Director of Corporate Marketing. "The introduction of the LatticeECP2M FPGA family redefined customers' expectations of value-based FPGA devices, and we are gratified by its broad market acceptance and industry accolades such as the EDN China Innovation Award."

About the LatticeECP2M FPGA Family

The LatticeECP2M FPGA family has redefined the value-based FPGA product category by providing performance-enhancing features that are typically available only on more expensive competitive high-end FPGAs. The LatticeECP2M family supports logic densities from 20K LUTs up to 100K LUTs, has high performance DSP blocks, supports DDR2 memory interfaces at 533Mbps and up to 840Mbps generic LVDS performance. Some of the high-end features incorporated into the LatticeECP2M family include embedded SERDES I/O and the most on-chip memory in its class. The LatticeECP2M family supports up to 16 channels of embedded SERDES, operating up to 3.125Gbps, which support protocols such as PCI Express, Ethernet (1GbE and SGMII), CPRI/OBSAI, SMPTE and JESD204. In addition to embedded SERDES channels, the LatticeECP2M FPGA family offers Embedded Block RAM capacity ranging from 1.2 Mbits to 5.3 Mbits, representing up to a 400% increase over competitive low-cost architectures.
