Law Enforcement Associates Provides Sales Update on New Birddog(TM) Surveillance Product; Year-to-Date Sales of GPS Tracking Device Approaching $1 Million

YOUNGSVILLE, NC--(Marketwire - December 10, 2007) - Law Enforcement Associates Corporation (LEA) (AMEX: AID), the largest U.S. developer and manufacturer of undercover surveillance equipment, today announced that revenue contributions from the company's new Birddog™ GPS tracking system are approaching $1 million thus far in fiscal 2007. The company has sold more than 120 of the units since they were introduced in January.

"The strong demand we have experienced for our Birddog units is indicative of the growing interest we are seeing for a broad spectrum of our electronic security and surveillance products," said Paul Feldman, president. "Our Smith & Wesson-branded Swift under vehicle inspection systems and our recently introduced Graffiti Cam™ both are generating a great deal of interest from domestic law enforcement and commercial organizations alike. We therefore are optimistic fiscal 2008 could be a year of meaningful growth for LEA."

About the Birddog

The Birddog was originally released by AID in the 1970s as a radio frequency (RF)-enabled tracking system. The Birddog ultimately became the most widely used covert tracking device by local and federal law enforcement agencies. LEA re-launched the Birddog in January 2007, when the company introduced an all-new tracking device based on advanced GPS technology.
