Leaders in Information Security Honored at the Information Security Executive (ISE) National Awards Gala 2007

Large Contingency of Information Security Executives From Across the Nation Gather to Be Recognized in Washington, D.C.

The Ritz Carlton, Pentagon City was the setting for an evening of recognition among information security executives as they celebrated excellence in their industry. Judges selected winners from 57 nominees across the nation to win the prestigious accolade in the categories of Academia, Government, and Enterprise. The nominees, finalists, and winners were recognized for outstanding leadership, contributions, and innovative approaches to information security.

Included in the award ceremony was the presentation of the coveted ISE Luminary Leadership Award to Dr. C. Warren Axelrod, Chief Privacy Officer and Business Information Security Officer at U. S. Trust, for his distinguished service, stewardship, and outstanding contributions in advancing the information security industry.

The evening was topped off with the ISE National / CSI Member's Choice Award that went to Krizi Trivisani, Director of Systems Security Operations, Chief Information Security Officer, The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Awarded by her community of peers, she was voted as the executive who exemplifies the most attributes of a leader in the security industry.

In addition to the awards ceremony, the nominees and executives participated in three days of events, including the CSI Executive Retreat. Providing peer-to-peer information exchange for industry leaders, events included two days of ISE Forums, moderated by Bruce Bonsall, Chief Information Security Officer and Vice President at MassMutual Financial Group and Eric Litt, Chief Information Security Officer of General Motors.
