Leading Belgium Service Provider Brutélé Expands Network With Infoblox Appliances

BRUSSELS and SANTA CLARA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 25, 2006 -- Infoblox Inc., a developer of essential infrastructure for identity-driven networks (IDNs), today announced that Brutélé, a leading supplier of cable television services to more than 300,000 households in Brussels and Wallonia -- the French-speaking region of Belgium, has selected and deployed Infoblox network identity appliances.

Brutélé selected Infoblox appliances to improve the scalability and reduce the management complexity of its network identity infrastructure, which includes domain name resolution (DNS) systems that map names (e.g., yahoo.com) to IP addresses (e.g., 66.94.234.13), directing Internet inquiries to the appropriate location. Should an enterprise or organization's DNS systems fail, all Internet functions, like email and Web access, simply will not be available.

As a result, the reliability, security and ease of management of these systems are essential to achieving overall network stability, availability and growth.

Commented Jean-Michel Adant, CEO of Brutélé: "With our new Infoblox DNS systems, Brutélé and its customers now benefit from even higher levels of availability, reliability and security of the network, while reducing maintenance costs and giving us scale for future growth. Infoblox's understanding of our business needs, including growth potential, reliability, cost savings and regulatory compliance pressures, greatly contributed to the success of our deployment."

Recognizing the limitations of its general-purpose server and operating system approach for DNS services, Brutélé recently decided to replace their previous infrastructure. Infoblox proposed that Brutélé migrate to a centrally managed, appliance-based system with built-in high availability and unique management features to help Brutélé ensure DNS services operate nonstop.

Brutélé, which has standardized on Infoblox systems to deliver all its DNS services enterprise-wide, purchased seven Infoblox appliances running the DNSone package. The appliances are deployed at Brutélé's two primary datacenters in Brussels and Charleroi.

Working with an Infoblox partner, Brutélé received assistance through the full project cycle, including design and installation as well as software integration with the existing provisioning and reporting servers, demonstrating the flexibility of the Infoblox system and value that can be added by partners. The software integration provides Brutélé with automatic provisioning, and enables Brutélé to be compliant with applicable laws and regulations, where fast and cost-effective reporting are essential. Brutélé also has been able to realize important cost savings through increased ease-of-use and administration, and now enjoys automatic, centralized provisioning of DNS entries. In addition, special delegated administration views enable Brutélé's helpdesk employees to detect, diagnose and solve problems even faster.
