Leading Intellectual Property Attorneys Marc Adler and Kevin P.B. Johnson Join First To File Advisory Board

Johnson have joined the company's advisory board. Adler is an independent intellectual property strategist and former chief intellectual property counsel for Rohm and Haas Company. Johnson is a partner at Quinn Emanuel, the largest business litigation firm in the United States, and an expert in intellectual property litigation and domestic and international arbitration and mediation. Adler and Johnson join existing advisory board members Max Carnecchia, Bruce Lehman, and John Martin. Adler is an independent intellectual property strategist and consultant with more than 27 years of intellectual property law experience. Previously, he was chief intellectual property counsel at Rohm and Haas Company, a worldwide specialty materials company. There, he was responsible for all global patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters. At the same time, he also served as associate general counsel and assistant corporate secretary at Rohm and Haas. Adler is a member of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Patent Public Advisory Committee and is a former president of both the Intellectual Property Owners Association and the Association of Corporate Patent Counsel. He received his J.D. from St. John's University and holds a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Florida and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from City University of New York.

Johnson's practice at Quinn Emanuel focuses on litigating patent infringement, trade secret, unfair competition, trademark, copyright, and licensing actions in federal and state courts as well as the International Trade Commission. He has represented a wide range of technology industry clients, from Fortune 50 companies to growing technology startups, in a variety of intellectual property disputes. Prior to Quinn Emanuel, Johnson was a partner at Fish & Neave. He received his J.D. from Hofstra University and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University.
