Leading Manufacturer Expands Use of Video With Glowpoint

Video Usage in Manufacturing Vertical Is Accelerating

HILLSIDE, NJ--(Marketwire - April 13, 2010) -  Glowpoint, Inc. (OTCBB: GLOW), a carrier-grade provider of managed services for telepresence and video conferencing, today announced that one of the nation's leading printing products manufacturers, whose name is kept confidential due to privacy policies, has increased its number of locations on Glowpoint's Telepresence interExchange Network (TEN) to nine sites, located in 7 states as part of a multi-year agreement, with additional locations expected to launch in 2010.

The manufacturer, whose annual revenues exceed $1.0 billion, utilizes Glowpoint's TEN Overlay Connect service for a dedicated, secure, Quality of Service (QoS) connection that ensures the best service possible for intra- and inter-company telepresence and video conferencing. Glowpoint's TEN Overlay Connect service enables the client's executives to remotely view, monitor, and maintain quality control at their manufacturing plants. Additionally, the client utilizes "Virtual Hallways," which provide continuous, live video interaction between offices. "Virtual Hallways" offer a cost-effective way to increase employee productivity through easy and immediate video connections between offices to encourage greater employee collaboration.

Glowpoint President and Co-CEO Joseph Laezza said, "Glowpoint's client was looking for a way to communicate across the country with a high-quality connection combined with ease of use. We are pleased that their initial implementation of our service, which initially involved four locations, is now more than doubling in size for 2010."

Laezza added, "What continues to impress me is that during the last year, we've seen strong growth in the manufacturing sector's usage of video communications, which now represents a significant percentage of our overall revenue base. The manufacturing sector, traditionally, has not been a sector for early adoption. This increasing growth in this vertical supports my belief that the use of video communications is quickly moving past the early adopter stage to become a more integral part of the communications mix for all types of companies."

The manufacturing sector represents more than 5% of Glowpoint's overall revenues, with most customers utilizing Glowpoint's TEN and managed services based on a monthly recurring revenue model.
