Legal Research Experts to Speak on Ticket Selling Trends at Ticket Summit

eBay, TicketNetwork, and Others Provide Analysis of Legislative Trends Pertaining to Ticketing

VERNON, CT--(Marketwire - December 28, 2009) - Ticket Summit, the leading conference and trade show for ticketing and entertainment executives, today announced its roster of notable legal researchers who have joined the list of panelists for the conference. The Ticket Summit January conference -- a three-day event scheduled January 13-15, 2010 at The Waldorf=Astoria in New York City -- will include a panel session on Thursday, January 14 featuring Dustin Brighton (eBay), Braden Cox (NetChoice), Marlies Hoedemaker (World Ticket Shop), Kathleen Philips (FanSnap), and Dan Pullium (TicketNetwork).

This legal research panel titled "Legal Issues and Ticketing Trends" aims to address the issue of ticket resale legislation and legal trends that could have an impact on the ticketing industry as a whole. "While the majority of states in the U.S. make provisions for the resale of tickets, the issue remains one of constant debate," said Dr. Molly A. Martinez, Executive Director of Ticket Summit. "The information provided by the legal government experts slated to speak will provide valuable insight on the status of ticket resale, and trends in ticketing legislation."

Dan Pullium, Director of Government Relations, TicketNetwork, observed: "There has never been a more important time to pay attention to the legislative and legal arena, particularly as more companies seek to merge. It is important now more than ever for citizens to become more actively involved in voicing their stance with their representatives, so consumer rights and economic competition can survive."

More than five-hundred attendees from around the country and the world are expected to attend the upcoming conference, including ticketing agents, event promoters, venue managers, and box office executives.
