Lexus First to Socialize With NBC News' iCue Facebook Application

appssavvy, the Exclusive Advertising Sales Team for iCue, Delivers Contextually-Relevant, Integrated Sponsorships Focused on Technology and Innovation, and Education With Sponsors Led by Lexus

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - November 20, 2008) - Luxury automotive company Lexus, today unveiled a social media sponsorship program integrated with NBC News' iCue Facebook application. The iCue Facebook application can be found by visiting www.whatsyouricue.com.

The Lexus program is the first delivered by appssavvy, a direct sales team for social media applications, under its exclusive, strategic advertising partnership with NBC News' iCue announced last month. Further details about the appssavvy and NBC News partnership can be found here: http://www.appssavvy.com/media/NBC-iQue-Press-Release.pdf.

Under the integrated, contextually-relevant sponsorship program, Lexus shares its three low-emission hybrid vehicles with iCue consumers through the Innovation & Technology and In the News content.

"At Lexus, we are always looking for unique avenues to communicate with our audience," said Dave Nordstrom, Lexus vice president of marketing. "This partnership with iCue and appssavvy allows us to reach people where they already interact with others. The application enables us to talk about the innovation of our vehicles and reinforce the message that good things are happening on the road today, in a format that appeals to consumers."

"iCue demonstrates the incredible utility social media applications offer," said Michael Burke, founder and president of appssavvy. "Just as important, iCue represents a significant opportunity for brands in the social media space. Lexus, through today's launched sponsorships, is an excellent example as to the relevant and creative marketing programs that are possible through iCue and social media applications alike."

The iCue social media application is a fun, innovative learning environment built around hundreds of historical videos from the NBC News Archives. It features five interactive tabs, including Innovation & Technology, In the News, History, Arts & Culture and Shuffle.

"iCue is a compelling, collaborative learning environment for students and lifelong learners. Extending our digital media platform with the iCue social media application to Facebook is an exciting milestone and appssavvy is playing a key role as our sales team," said Adam Jones, senior vice president of network development NBC News. "In addition, iCue has tremendous marketing potential for brands, such as Lexus, to add value in relevant and meaningful ways."

The Lexus program launched today will run into 2009. Advertisers and agencies interested in marketing through the iCue application can reach appssavvy's direct sales team at advertising@appssavvy.com.
