Ligion Signs With Maple Jam Records and ICON Music Entertainment Services

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 29, 2006 --Maple Jam Records, ICON Music Entertainment Services and Bellum Records (a division of Icon MES), announce the signing of Nashville-based rock band, LIGION.

Originally formed in their hometown of Cleveland, LIGION combines its signature three-part harmonies with strong melodies, vivid life-inspired stories and guttural guitars in a visceral sonic attack that grabs hold of the listener and won't let go.

In early July of 2003, Ligion headed to the third coast, Nashville, TN. The band's debut single, "Reality," was added to Nashville's 102.9 The Buzz in regular rotation, the second time in its history the station has ever added an unsigned band. As of August, Ligion's single was the top requested song on the station's top 9 @ 9:09 and became the 17th most requested song on the station in all of 2003.

Ligion has opened for Velvet Revolver, Puddle Of Mudd, Story of the Year, Trapt, Nickelback, Three Days Grace, Smile Empty Soul, Mudvayne, Sevendust, Seether, Crossfade, Finger Eleven, Revis, Kill Hannah, Seven Mary Three, Collective Soul, Dark New Day and many more.

The band is recording its debut album for Maple Jam/Bellum in Nashville with Grammy Award-winning producer, Greg Ladanyi.
