This Summer's NYC Sessions Include a Behind-the-Scenes Field Trip to "Legally Blonde: The Musical" -- Go to to Apply

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - May 29, 2007) - CAMP BROADWAY® announces that there are a limited amount of spots left for its one-week programs that will be held in New York City this summer. CAMP BROADWAY, the recipient of the 2002 Standing Ovation Award from the Educational Theatre Association for program excellence, has introduced young people to the world of Broadway since 1996. Programs are offered for kids ages 10-12, and for teens ages 13-17.

Participants spend the week learning performance techniques from established Broadway artists, preparing for the Camp Broadway Family Finale, a presentation of a popular Broadway musical for family and friends at week's end. This summer, the program will also feature an all-day field trip to The Palace Theatre for a behind-the-scenes look at "Legally Blonde: The Musical," nominated for seven 2007 Tony Awards®. The dates for this summer's programs are: July 16-20 (Session 1) and July 30-August 3 (Session 2). Tuition for all programs is $1150.00.

On the Wednesday of each weekly session, campers will have the special opportunity to spend the day at "Legally Blonde: The Musical." The day begins with meeting the backstage and front-of-house crews at the theatre as well as the hit musical's creative team members prior to a pre-show luncheon with cast members. After attending the matinee performance, campers end the day participating in a talk-back with the cast.

In addition to expanding each camper's creative talents, CAMP BROADWAY aims to build self-esteem by fostering commitment, collaboration and discipline, while leaving each camper with a life-long respect of the theatre.

CAMP BROADWAY® provides life-long learning through theatre-related special events, youth activities, educational programming, professional development and corporate training, as well as its published study guide series, StageNotes®. The company serves as a vital link between Broadway's many theatrical productions, estates and libraries to families, schools and social organizations. Now in its 12th year, CAMP BROADWAY has enabled over 200,000 school children to attend a Broadway show through its educational programs and has hosted over 6,000 theatre-loving kids from every state and over 40 countries at its annual national summer camp programs. CAMP BROADWAY has been featured on Macy's Thanksgiving Parade Telecast for the last four years.
