Lingotek DevZone Expands With New Integrations

As Market Demand for Translation and Localization Increases, Lingotek's Development Zone Thrives

LEHI, UT--(Marketwired - May 28, 2014) - Lingotek | The Translation Network enables the creation and management of multilingual content inside your enterprise applications. Today, Lingotek is pleased to announce the expansion of the Lingotek Development Zone (DevZone). The growing collection of Lingotek integrations is comprised of content management systems, enterprise content systems, web content management systems and other enterprise applications.

With the expansion of Lingotek's DevZone, Lingotek is also introducing version 5.0 of its Multilingual API. Version 5 of the API enables developers to integrate with Lingotek more quickly and efficiently.

Application developers are creating Lingotek Inside modules for SalesForce, WordPress, Git, Joomla, Liferay and others. Lingotek already supports applications such as Atlassian, Drupal, Microsoft SharePoint and Oracle WebCenter. Through these plug-ins and modules, content, project-management and social platform users can access the Lingotek Translation Management System from within their own systems, allowing them to quickly and cost-effectively create and manage multilingual content.

"Companies are seeing a growing need to integrate translation management plug-ins and applications into their online infrastructure," said Matt Smith, Director of Integrations of Lingotek. "The Lingotek platform makes translation and localization simple and cost-effective, opening the doors to new global markets for both companies and developers."

Globally, consumers are spending an estimated $694 billion online this year, according to Common Sense Advisory [1]. Approximately 96 percent of global consumers live outside of the United States [2], and 70 percent of global Web users visit websites in their own language [3]. According to research firm IDC, web users are four times more likely to make a purchase from a company if the company communicates in the buyers language. Additionally, visitors to websites stay twice as long on sites that are in their native tongue, according to Forrester Research.

Companies that translate and localize their content can present users with compelling content and offers in their native languages, taking advantage of users' existing habits in order to gain advantages in markets around the world. And by designing third-party plug-ins and modules compatible with any collaboration or workflow environment, developers can expose their applications to both established software users and their growing global audiences.

"We're excited to see these application developers extend the benefits of Lingotek into these different software applications," said Aaron Davis, CTO of Lingotek. "More and more companies are looking to integrate a translation management solution into their infrastructures in order to compete in global markets. With Lingotek Inside, popular applications can provide users with the opportunity to seamlessly globalize their content from within their workflows. Developers are seeing the opportunity in this space, and we're pleased to see the resultant growth of the Lingotek DevZone, which benefits companies, global audiences and developers."

"Application developers have a huge opportunity in the translation services business, which is valued at $32 billion," said Rob Vandenberg, President and CEO of Lingotek. "Application developers that work with Lingotek and our translation platform are opening up the business-to-business content translation space, which is becoming more important with time."
