Liquid Machines Presents Customer Best Practices and Innovations in Data Protection at SecureWorld Atlanta

Senior Executive Discusses Real-World Data Protection Strategies and Customer Scenarios Using Enterprise Rights Management

WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwire - April 30, 2008) - Liquid Machines, Inc., the leader in Enterprise Rights Management (ERM) solutions, today announced that Ed Gaudet, senior vice president of corporate development & marketing, will discuss how global enterprise customers are applying technology innovations and industry best practices for securely sharing regulated and sensitive information. He will join industry experts at the Atlanta SecureWorld Expo, taking place April 29-30, 2008 at the Cobb Galeria Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

The panel, "Data Protection - It's all About the Data," takes place on Wednesday, April 30, from 1:00-1:45 pm EDT in Room #115.

The panel, including representatives from Websense and Borderware, will discuss how attendees can protect their data in a world where breaches resulting in disclosure of personal data, theft of trade secrets and loss of competitive advantage are still very common. Passwords and biometric controls that restrict access to data are not effective in preventing the data itself from being copied or transmitted for nefarious purposes. The panel will discuss innovative technologies and best practices in use today to enforce data usage policies and enable new business processes for secure information sharing.

The Atlanta SecureWorld Expo panel follows on the heels of a similar successful panel at the Houston SecureWorld Expo on April 24, 2008 at the George R. Brown Convention Center. This panel was well-attended and instigated a deep discussion on data protection strategies and will now bring those ideas to the Atlanta SecureWorld Expo attendees.

"Recent major data breaches have reinforced that companies protecting data with network-based approaches and content management containers are no longer sufficient -- protection and control must be with data, not just to the data," said Gaudet. "This fundamental shift in data protection provides our customers with the dual benefit of persistent protection and enforcement while enabling new processes and workflows made possible through secure information sharing."

Liquid Machines will also demonstrate the latest version of its enterprise rights management (ERM) solution, Liquid Machines Document Control 7.0, throughout the conference at Booth 40. Built with support for Microsoft Rights Management Services (RMS), customers use Liquid Machines to secure and control their most critical information, including intellectual property, executive and board communications, customer data, and human resources information, while enabling secure collaboration and strict adherence to regulatory compliance without changing the way users work. Liquid Machines' ERM solution is compatible with the industry's most current applications, operating systems and computing architectures for customers in markets such as financial services, manufacturing, chemical and energy, life sciences, legal and government agencies.
