Local RV Dealership, RV Care Group Sends $80,000 in Portable Generators to Haiti

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - March 23, 2010) - The RV Care Network of RV dealerships and Balzac, Alberta-based Bucars RV Centre has sent over $80,000 worth of portable generator equipment (over 50 generators) to Haiti in an effort to help with relief and rebuilding in the still-devastated region. The generators, which are graciously provided by partner supplier Coast Distribution, will help provide electricity and alternative power for the relief in areas where power continues to be a scarce resource.

"We saw what was happening in Haiti and, as a group, we tried figuring out a way to help as soon as possible," says Jeff Redmond, General Manager of Bucars RV Centre. "As a tight-nit group, we were able to quickly bring our resources and partners together and come up with a solution that we knew was going to have an impact."

The generators are on their way to Haiti with a missionary aid group from Fredericton, New Brunswick, along with various other important supplies and materials collected by the aid group.

RV Care Network Vice President, Earl Manning said, "RV Care was able to increase the value of a substantial commitment from the dealer group into even greater value using the collective power of our buying group to purchase the generators."

Founded in 1959, Bucars RV Centre is owned and operated by Bill, Kyle and Jeff Redmond. Bucars carries travel trailers, fifth-wheels, motorhomes and park models. Bucars is also the first dealership to offer a regular calendar of free RV seminars through Bucars U.

Working together with 48 other independent RV Care dealers across Canada, the RV Care Network provides service and support for their customers when they travel (www.rvcare.ca).
