Local Taxi Companies Choose Digital Dispatch

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 1, 2006) - Two local taxi companies with under 100-vehicle fleets have turned to Digital Dispatch Systems Inc. (TSX:DD) for their advanced computerized dispatch needs. Empress Taxi Ltd. of Victoria, and Guildford Cabs of Surrey, with fleet sizes of 87 and 40 respectively, will be deploying iPilot 8000™ mobile computers and PathFinder™ dispatch application. Digital Dispatch will actually be replacing a competitive system for one of these companies. Both companies are also installing the debit card processing system, which is becoming very popular with taxi companies in Canada.

"We chose the Digital Dispatch product for its reliability and functionalities. Having used a computerized dispatch system for sometime, we had a fair estimate of what we were looking for. We believe that the combination of iPilot 8000™ and PathFinder™ application will take us to the next level of efficiency and help us provide excellent customer service," said Bhupinder Chattha, President for Empress Taxi.

Technology is also the basis of Guildford Cabs' decision. "We decided on Digital Dispatch through a process of due diligence and elimination. We have recently grown and our market place is also changing with technology fast becoming a driving force. These precipitated our need to deploy the most advanced computerized dispatch solution in the market that will also serve us going forward," said Don Guilbault, General Manager of Guildford Cabs.

"We are thrilled to see our strategy of delivering technology to smaller fleets gaining momentum. The fact that these two companies have turned to our top-of-the-line mobile computer and dispatch application validates that we have been able to make it feasible for smaller taxi companies to deploy advanced computerized dispatching," mentioned Gregg Metivier, Chief Marketing Officer for Digital Dispatch.

The two contracts are worth over $1 million in total including long-term service agreements.
