Los Angeles County Marijuana Dispensary to Begin Food Drive to Feed the Poor; Dispensary Will Give Away Free Gram to Patients Who Donate Food for the Drive

LONG BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - November 9, 2009) - Cornerstone Health & Wellness of Long Beach, California has announced it will immediately commence in a food drive designed to help feed the hungry of Long Beach. This food drive will last indefinitely and it will not stop once the holidays end.

"Our goal is simple," said Ryan Evans, President of Cornerstone. "Our goal is to feed anyone who is hungry," said Evans. "This is not a publicity stunt, nor are we concerned with how this may impact our image. We have designed the food drive to be an ongoing project that will never end simply because the holidays have ended," said Evans. "Too many projects such as these end with holidays and so we're determined to keep it going forever."

To help initiate this new campaign and food drive, the Long Beach marijuana dispensary will be giving away a free gram to the first 25 patients who donate a can of food. In addition, each person who donates a can of food will receive a raffle ticket and will be entered into a raffle (drawing) to be held at the end of this month for a brand new laptop computer. Therefore, by simply donating a can of food, a patient can then become eligible to win a laptop computer for a drawing held on Saturday, November 28th.

Separately, Ryan Evans is also the owner of the non-profit websites and discussion forums located at and, and is largely responsible for alerting the world to the pandemic flu threat dating back to November 15, 2005.
