Louisiana Fen Phen Lawyer Johnson Sees Increase in Primary Pulmonary Hypertension Cases in State

NEW ORLEANS, LA--(Marketwire - June 5, 2007) - Fen Phen Lawyer Johnson Law Group, with principal offices in Houston, Texas, has recently signed a number of cases where individuals were diagnosed with primary pulmonary hypertension, also known as PPH.

These cases have been found in a number of states and have been attributed to the combination of prescription diet drugs fenfluramine and phentermine, more commonly known as Fen Phen.

"The cases are especially tragic when a patient is diagnosed with PPH," observes attorney Nick Johnson, principal with the Johnson Law Group. "The only medical solution is usually a risky and expensive heart lung transplant. It's hard to look people in the eye sometimes that are facing such a critical operation. You can feel what they're going through."

Primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH) is a rare disease of unknown cause that results in the progressive narrowing of the blood vessels of the lungs, causing high blood pressure in these blood vessels and eventually leading to heart failure. According to the American Heart Association, the drug fenfluramine was taken off the market in September 1997 after being linked to heart valve damage.

The Johnson Law Group, headquartered in Houston, Texas, concentrates in the areas of Fen Phen and Paxil pharmaceutical cases, mesothelioma, nursing home abuse and rollover/car accidents. Nick Johnson is regarded as one of the top Fen Phen attorneys in America according to site More information may be found at or
