Luna's New Products Receive New York City MEA Approval

KENT, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 13, 2005 -- Luna Technologies International, Inc. (OTC BB: LTII) reports that two of their newest products have been approved by the Materials & Equipment Acceptance (MEA) Office of the New York City Department of Buildings. This approval is required before Luna products can be delivered to New York City customers.

The Lunaplast 2100F Series photoluminescent film and the Lunaplast Powdercoat system were tested as required by New York City for various safety and durability characteristics. In every case, the Lunaplast products met or exceeded by a considerable margin the requirements of New York City building code RS6-1.

Lunaplast 2100F Series now has the official MEA # 332-05-M, while Lunaplast Powdercoat will carry MEA # 333-05-M. All versions of these products installed in New York City will carry these numbers plus the Lunaplast logo and brand name.

"We are thrilled to have now received MEA approval for our new product line," remarked Luna President Scott Bullis. "Our New York City re-sellers have been very active in quoting potential clients and having our MEA numbers now clears the way for large orders to be booked. We expect our most recent large-scale production run to sell out quickly."

Luna Director of Sales Robert Kaul is currently in New York City working with Luna re-sellers to negotiate the first large-scale orders, and to advise Luna certified installers on the best available installation options.
