Luxury Institute Survey: High Net-Worth Consumers Rank the duPont Registry, and Luxury Collections the Most Prestigious Real-Estate Brands

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - October 1, 2007) - High net-worth consumers rated the duPont Registry of Fine Homes the most prestigious real-estate company in the 2007 Luxury Brand Status Index (LBSI) survey from the independent New York-based Luxury Institute ( and the Luxury Collections were rated second and third, respectively.

The duPont Registry was ranked highly for offering unique and exclusive properties and being a real-estate company that is used by people who are admired and respected. In addition, they were the real-estate company that consumers are most likely to recommend to people they care about. One proponent of the brand states: "If you want to view the best homes, duPont lists the best."

"The Internet has dramatically transformed the luxury real-estate industry and the real-estate downturn will only accelerate that trend," said Milton Pedraza, CEO of the Luxury Institute. "Today highly educated and tech-savvy wealthy consumers are looking for real-estate solutions, not just brokers. The luxury real-estate aggregators, networks and marketplaces that allow consumers to find the right properties, and the right providers, all on one site, dominate the luxury real-estate landscape. To wealthy consumers embarking on a home purchase, or sale, aggregator brands are as important, and better rated that brokerage brands. If you are a broker, you need to factor that into what flags you choose to fly. As the 'voice of the high net-worth consumer' the Luxury Institute ensures that its surveys are impartial, objective and independent, for the benefit of wealthy consumers and their trusted luxury providers.
