MADD Canada launches French Multi-Media Assembly Program in Quebec

MADD Canada’s first French High School Multi-Media Assembly Program educates students about the dangers of impaired driving.

Attention: Assignment Editor, City Editor, News Editor MONTREAL/QUEBEC/MEDIA ADVISORY--(Marketwire - Dec. 4, 2009) - Young people never think a road crash will happen to them, but the numbers tell a different story. Road crashes are the number one cause of teen death in Canada and alcohol is a factor in 45% of those crashes.

MADD Canada is seeking to reduce the number of young people being killed or injured on our roads with its High School Multi-Media Assembly Program.

With the support of Allstate Insurance Company of Canada, this dynamic multi-media assembly program, titled Fini, is now available in French for the first time.

Media are welcome to attend Fini's Quebec debut.

Date: Monday, December 7, 2009

Time: 1:30 p.m.

Location: Collège D'Anjou
11000 Rue Renaude-Lapointe
Anjou, QC
H1J 2V7
Tel: 514-322-8111

MADD Canada spokesperson Marie Claude Morin, Nicholas Bellier, St. Leonard Allstate Insurance Agency Manager and members of the school staff and student body will be available to speak with media about the program.

The High School Multi-Media Assembly Program is an important educational tool to engage students in a dialogue about the tragic consequences of mixing alcohol and/or drugs with driving. Fini, and its English counterpart, Wasted, will be delivered to 1 million students over the 2009-2010 school year.
