MATECH Exhibits at Annual Conference Sponsored by the American Association of State and Highway Officials

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 18, 2009) - MATECH Corp. (OTCBB: MTCH) (www.matechcorp.com) is pleased to announce that it presented its breakthrough Electrochemical Fatigue Sensor (EFS) System to attendees at the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) 2009 conference held last month in Palm Desert, CA.

AASHTO is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association representing highway and transportation departments in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The voice for transportation and catalyst for organizational and technical excellence, AASHTO advocates transportation-related policies and provides technical services to support states in their efforts to efficiently and safely move people and goods. AASHTO represents all five transportation modes: air, highways, public transportation, rail, and water. Its primary goal is to foster the development, operation, and maintenance of an integrated national transportation system.

"We are pleased to report that MATECH continues to generate interest from transportation agencies and industry professionals for its cutting-edge EFS technology," said Robert M. Bernstein, CEO of MATECH. "We will continue to attend and present at similar key industry conferences in which we can demonstrate the inherent strength and value of our innovative bridge monitoring technology."

MATECH has a proven track record of saving bridge owners money through improving bridge management and public safety with its cutting edge technology, the EFS System. Through eliminating subjectivity of inspections for cracking in bridge members (the FHWA has stated that 90% of these cracks are missed with visual inspection), MATECH is helping to eliminate wasted funds by prioritizing repairs and verifying their effectiveness immediately.
