TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 2, 2007) - On Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 7 p.m, Toronto Brigantine Inc. will host it's annual Pirates' Ball and Silent Auction at the Steamwhistle Brewery, located at 255 Bremner Blvd. in Toronto. It will be a visual spectacular as Toronto's best-dressed pirates compete for such coveted awards as "Toronto's Pirate of the Year" and the grand prize, a 3-hour sail for 20 people aboard Toronto's famous 72' brigantine, STV Pathfinder.

Toronto Brigantine Inc. is a 44-year old non-profit registered charity whose mission is to 'Build Character Through Adventure' for youth aged 13 to 18. Sail training programs are operated aboard the traditionally rigged brigantines, STV Pathfinder and TS Playfair. Over 18,000 youth have participated in the program, developing their self confidence while building skills in leadership, teamwork, dependability, and respect. Bursary funding is available to provide financial assistance to youth who otherwise cannot afford course fees.

Come enjoy a Steamwhistle beer at the roundhouse while enjoying the fun activities, contests, music, and informal sea shanty sessions with the The Bilge Rats! For more information about Toronto Brigantine Youth Sail Training programs, please go to:
