MEDIA ADVISORY: Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited Concludes 4th Annual Festive Light Exchange

Exchanges encourage electricity conservation

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 22, 2007) - Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited ("Toronto Hydro"), in partnership with the City of Toronto, and Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA), is hosting neighbourhood Festival Light Exchanges to promote electricity conservation.

Toronto Hydro is getting into the spirit of the season by offering Toronto residents one (1) free string of energy-efficient LED seasonal lights in exchange for two (2) strings of incandescent seasonal lights. Last year's Festive Light Exchanges resulted in 8,877 old sets of incandescent seasonal lights being exchanged, taking 1.034 megawatts (MW) off the electricity grid.

- Saturday, November 24: Roncesvalles Village from 2 - 4 p.m.
- Sunday, November 25: Emery Village from 3 - 6 p.m.
- Thursday, November 29: Riverside District from 6 - 8 p.m.
- Saturday, December 1: The Beach from 4 - 6 p.m.
- Sunday, December 2: Mimico-by-the-Lake from 4 - 6:30 p.m.
