Macedonian Film Festival Announces 2010 Scholarship for Ontario Film Students

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 19, 2010) - The Macedonian Film Festival (MFF) is pleased to announce a call for proposals to be awarded to one successful student filmmaker who is either Macedonian or who hopes to tell a Macedonian story. The monetary value of this scholarship is $500 CDN.

All applicants must be students enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution in Ontario. 

Applicants must have full creative and editorial control of proposed project in the role of director/producer, director, director/writer or writer (cinematographers, editors, composers and other crew members are not eligible). Films must have been produced or finished by 2010.

Applicants must be either of Macedonian background (regardless of country citizenship) or if applicant is of non-Macedonian background, proposed project must tell a Macedonian story or explore Macedonian themes.

All applications will be considered by a jury committee of the MFF. The winning project will be announced September 2010 and will premier at the next MFF in October 2010. The dates for the MFF are October 16 & 17, 2010.
