MachineTalker's iRFID Product Passes HERO Testing

Approval of Intelligent RFID Is a Significant Step Toward Commercial Sales of Company's Ruggedized, Miniaturized "PalletTalker"

SANTA BARBARA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 1, 2006 -- MachineTalker, Inc. (OTCBB: MTKN), developer of smart wireless security networks and tracking systems, today announces that the company's iRFID product has undergone the U.S. Department of Defense rigorous testing protocol and has successfully passed the Hazard of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO) criteria, opening new channels for increased sales of the company's products to both military and commercial markets. MachineTalker's newly approved iRFID product will be attached to pallets upon which munitions are being shipped. This product provides an electronic ID for the pallet and will also accumulate information and report on pallet contents.

The Hazard of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance, or HERO approval, is a thorough assessment process that electronic equipment destined for use in explosive-prone situations must undergo. Products that comply with HERO procedures minimize the emission of electromagnetic fields that could accidentally activate nearby electro-explosive devices (EEDs) or electrically initiated ordnance. Such dangerous materials are a very real hazard to personnel, storage facilities and warships. Attaining HERO standards means that the Company's products can be used to monitor electro-explosive devices.

According to MachineTalker's President, Roland F. Bryan, "The HERO designation allows for deployment of our intelligent RFID devices on pallets of munitions while they are being shipped and stored around the globe. In this application these iRFIDs might well be called 'PalletTalkers', in keeping with our other products, because they are able to monitor and report information relating to the condition and location of munitions. Other Talkers® will monitor the iRFIDs for purposes of inventory assessment in real-time.

"Passing HERO testing was the last remaining step to be checked off prior to receiving production orders from certain specific entities. We are very pleased to have received this approval because it allows us to move to a full production run in anticipation of additional orders from both military and commercial logistics units."
