Majestic Gold Engages Firm for Chinese Technical Report & Construction of Year Round Access Road at Sawayaerdun

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 9, 2008) - Majestic Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:MJS) ("Majestic" or the "Company") is pleased to announce it has engaged a Chinese engineering firm, China ENFI Engineering Corporation ("ENFI"), to complete a technical report on its Sawayaerdun gold project in Xinjiang Province, western China.

The technical report will be done to Chinese standards and will provide information to help the Company formulate its plans to further advance the project to a stage where a development decision can be made.

In addition, Majestic has also begun construction of a year round access road to the Sawayaerdun project in order to allow for work to continue without interruptions. The continuous access to Sawayaerdun will allow the Company to expedite the project plans and shorten its timelines significantly.

ENFI is an international engineering company established by China Nonferrous Engineering and Research Institute based on the modern enterprise system. The main business ranges from engineering construction and service including EPC, engineering design, engineering consulting, engineering cost consulting, project management, project supervision, project bidding and tendering, equipment research and production, equipment procurement and integration as well as system integration for domestic and foreign mining engineering, nonferrous metallurgical engineering, environmental engineering and civil engineering, to input and output of technology, equipment and labor associated with projects.


The Sawayaerdun project is located 200 kilometres northwest of Kashi in western region of Xinjiang Province, China. A total of 22 mineralized zones have been identified on the property, one of which has been the primary target for exploration.
