Making the Spirits Bright: Festive Holiday Cocktails!

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 27, 2006 -- When the weather outside gets frightful, it can still be delightful inside -- especially with the right holiday cocktails. Here is a selection of festive drinks created specially to help celebrate the season:

Midori's Merry Martini

3/4 oz. Midori

2 oz. SKYY citrus

Splash of white cranberry Juice

Shake and strain into a chilled glass.

Martin Miller's Sugar & Spice Martini

2 oz. Martin Miller's

2 oz. Apple Cider

3/4 oz. Fresh Orange

Splash of Brown Sugar Simple Syrup

Shake with ice. Serve in Martini glass that has been rimmed with a mixture of cinnamon, superfine sugar.


1 part ZEN Green Tea Liqueur

2 parts SKYY Citrus

Splash of Lime

Shake and serve in a martini glass

*Ultimate Irish Coffee (hot)

1. Fill an Irish coffee glass with very hot water to pre-heat then empty.

2. Pour hot coffee into hot glass until it is about 3/4 full.

3. Drop in 2 cocktail sugar cubes; stir until sugar is thoroughly dissolved.

4. Add full jigger of Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey for proper taste and body.

5. Top with a collar of lightly whipped cream by pouring gently over a spoon.

6. Enjoy it while piping hot.

Midori Sparkle

1/2 oz. Midori

Topped with Champagne

Holiday Sunset

1 oz. Martin Miller's Gin

1 oz. White Peach Liqueur

1 oz. Orange Juice

1 oz. Cranberry Juice

Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange wedge.

Tullamore Toddy (hot) (no image available)

1 1/2 oz. Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey

1 sliced Lemon

1 lump Sugar

4 oz. Boiling Water

Combine and stir well. Sprinkle with ground nutmeg, add cloves and cinnamon stick.
