Maranatha Broadcasting's WFMZ-TV Signs With Internet Broadcasting (IB)

ST. PAUL, MN--(Marketwire - January 13, 2010) - Internet Broadcasting (IB,, the leading provider of local Web sites, content and advertising revenue solutions to the world's most successful media companies, today announced a strategic agreement with Allentown, PA-based WFMZ-TV, a Maranatha Broadcasting Company, to provide Web platform, content and distribution, professional services, and local digital marketing services.

WFMZ-TV covers the third largest business district in Pennsylvania, spanning the Lehigh Valley and Berks County. The station has a seasoned team of news journalists and is the leading station to watch for local and regional news. Its companion online site,, is updated throughout the day, its monthly viewership continues to be strong, and the site is a highly successful local advertising medium.

As part of the agreement, IB will provide both strategic services and tactical support to meet WFMZ's goals of building greater audience engagement and driving more online revenue. In doing so, IB will offer WFMZ local advertising revenue solutions and sales strategies to attract more new visitors and advertisers to its site. To further enhance success of its daily online operations, IB will integrate WFMZ's media properties of TV, online and mobile within IB's online content management system, supply WFMZ with an array of lifestyle content, national and local breaking news for its online viewers, and provide professional services including strategy, support, and analytics.

Barry Fisher, President and General Manager of WFMZ-TV, said: "We are pleased to move into the next chapter of our Web site development with IB. Our in house team has engaged in developing and managing our Web site since its inception in 1994. As we looked at a complete redesign of our site, we researched many groups to outsource our hosting and better manage our content. IB proved to be the best overall provider we looked into. Their record of managing Web sites for larger groups is impressive, and led us to feel comfortable moving to their service. Our decision to go with them makes a lot of economic sense."

David Lebow, CEO of Internet Broadcasting, said: "Today's media landscape of broadcasters consists of large station groups as well as smaller groups and individual stations, the latter of which make up the majority of the industry. No matter what size or Web content management platform a broadcaster is using, IB is poised to empower any partner to succeed. Our core services offerings can scale to meet any broadcaster operating model. As an individual and independent station, WFMZ is a prime example of the broader market opportunity for us, and we are delighted to serve as a pivotal extension to their business."
