March Into Merivale Returns as Premier Food and Wine Festival That's Bigger and Better in 2010

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - February 4, 2010) -  Following on from the gastronomical success of 2009's inaugural March Into Merivale, each of Merivale's nine restaurants will be offering their $33 lunch and dinner menus again. This offer includes a main meal with a glass of wine or beer. This is your chance to try as many Merivale restaurants as you can squeeze into eight weeks. Menus change fortnightly.

The new, extended Sydney food and wine festival will run from 15 February to 16 April 2010 and will also showcase over 50 events from pop-up laneway dinners, a vintage champagne night, poolside dinners, an art-house cinema in Ash Street and so much more. Stunning Fine Dining at Sydney's Best Restaurants

The toast of perfection will see one of Sydney's best restaurants, est., feature a stunning five-course dinner with matched Tapanappa wines.

Also Merivale's master sommelier, Franck Moreau, hosts the ultimate Vintage Champagne Night.

For the more adventurous, eight of Sydney's top restaurants will encourage diners to raid their wine cellars and with a wine purchase of $100 or more per person, guests will enjoy a three-course meal for free.

Culinary Delights at this Unique Food & Wine Festival

As well as these not-to-be-missed events, the two-months-long smorgasbord will offer enticing treats for food and grape lovers including a Roast Pork and Shiraz Dinner and Duck and Pinot Noir Night at Bistro CBD, Spanish themed Ash Street Cellar Fiesta, tempting Cheese and Wine Nights at Tank Stream Bar, tantalising South American Wine and Grill at Mad Cow and the Wine Trade Show at The Ivy Room.

Tapanappa Wine Dinner

est.'s award-winning head chef, Peter Doyle, and Tapanappa Wines will join forces for a stunning five-course dinner with perfectly matched wines. Guests will also have the chance to talk wine with the legendary wine maker Brian Croser.

Vintage Champagne Night at est.

Merivale's master sommelier, Franck Moreau, will be pouring vintage bubbles from multiple vintages and champagne houses with canapés crafted by est.'s award-winning head chef, Peter Doyle.

Raid The Cellar

Every Tuesday, eight of Merivale's finest culinary restaurants will encourage guests to raid the restaurant wine cellar and procure their own personal selection. With a wine purchase of $100 or more per person, guests will enjoy a three-course meal for free.
