Industry Training Veteran Will Lead Charge in Aerospace & Defense

NASHUA, NH -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 20, 2006 --Mark Scansen has joined Eedo Knowledgeware, a leading provider of knowledge and learning systems, as the Director of Aerospace and Defense. This is a new position formed within Eedo Knowledgeware due to increased demand and penetration in this market sector.

"Eedo Knowledgeware has worked with Mark for a number of years and we've always valued his opinions and passion for training," said John Hudson, CEO, Eedo Knowledgeware. "When we were interested in further expanding into the aerospace and defense sector, Mark was an excellent choice." Mark has the experience and depth of knowledge to communicate effectively in this highly technical and unique industry and is passionately committed to serving and expanding our business."

Mark will bring additional support to existing customers such as Boeing, Boeing Defense, Lufthansa and WestJet while working with Eedo Account Executives on the many new opportunities in this market segment. Mark will also work with the existing Eedo management and development teams to develop effective market and product strategies unique to the Aerospace and Defense sectors while maintaining synergy with the Eedo core philosophy, product line and culture. Eedo has already witnessed tremendous results for its customers in this sector. Lufthansa has achieved 65% savings on course development costs with increased output using Eedo's Learning Content Management System (LCMS). "In my previous career, I witnessed that the most significant trend in learning that had the potential for enormous, long-term returns was that of the Learning Content Management System, and I chose ForceTen from Eedo Knowledgeware when it was just getting introduced to the market. I was already convinced that distributed, web-based authoring and management of learning was going to be critical to training in the aviation industry, and I was impressed with the vision of the Eedo leadership and the passion with which they sold and supported their products," said Mark Scansen, Director of Aerospace and Defense. "I carefully observed how the vision and dedication of the Eedo team remained in focus and consistently reliable. I further became convinced that Eedo was the company to watch in this market, and ForceTen was the platform that was going to set the pace and serve as the benchmark within the learning industry. I had a great job at Panasonic, but when the opportunity to work with the team at Eedo and give back to the Aerospace and Defense communities came along; I knew that my decision was already made. I am excited about the future, both personally and professionally and am truly honored to be a strategic member of the Eedo team."

Mark joined Eedo Knowledgeware from Panasonic Avionics Corporation, formerly Matsushita Avionics Systems. When he joined Panasonic in the summer of 1995 he was responsible for reviving the technical training department after a failed start. Mark led a team of 23 instructors, training specialists and multimedia developers, creating advanced training solutions for airline customers around the world. He has closely followed the simulation and gaming for training trends for the last ten years, and prior to leaving Panasonic his team was working on a dynamically driven, web-based, 3D interactive training simulation for the next generation of Panasonic's in-flight entertainment systems.

Mark has participated in numerous industry working groups, spoken at many training conferences and industry events, and served as chairman of the AICC (Aviation Industry Computer Based Training Committee) from 1996-1998, during which time he helped to launch the first independent test lab for AICC certification testing at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Keyport, Washington.

Prior to Matsushita Avionics Systems, Mark was Supervisor of the Reactor Controls Training Facility at the Trident Training Center in Bangor, Washington. During the three years in this position he developed a fascination for simulation and training, designing and building several highly sophisticated computer based simulations to emulate the interactions of the reactor controls equipment aboard a Trident Submarine. During his time in the Navy, Mark also served as Reactor Operator and Propulsion Plant Supervisor aboard the Special Projects Submarines USS Seawolf (SSN-575) and USS Parche (SSN-683), and later the fast attack submarines, USS Pogy (SSN-647) and USS Drum (SSN-677). Mark also served in nuclear project management and quality assurance during the de-fueling of the USS Seawolf and the refueling of the USS Parche.

Mark is based in Tennessee, United States of America, and keeps busy in his 'off hours' with wife Lynette, 3 daughters Tiffany, Chelsie, and Hannah and son Daniel.

Mark Scansen will be hosting a live webcast on Tuesday, September 26 and October 19 titled: Getting Manufacturing Training Off the Ground -- Enterprise Benefits Achieved by Implementing a Learning Content Management System: Case Studies from Panasonic & Lufthansa.
