Mashery Strengthens Executive Team With Strategic Hires

Company Poised for Continued Momentum With Additions of Industry Veterans From eCommerce and Software Development

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - March 31, 2010) - Mashery, the leading provider of API (Application Programming Interface) enablement and management services, announced today it has expanded its growing executive team with the appointments of Randi Barshack to Vice President of Marketing and Delyn Simons as Director of Platform Strategies.

"The growth in the number of businesses developing API strategies will continue to accelerate in the next 12-18 months," said Oren Michels, CEO and founder of Mashery. "With the appointments of Randi and Delyn, Mashery has added industry leaders to our team who will help us meet the overwhelming market need for API management services. Randi has led the marketing teams for several very successful companies. And Delyn played a critical role building the eBay developer community -- the model for every API/platform program that has been launched since. The addition of two such leaders to our executive team is already benefiting our customers and the tens of thousands of developers who use Mashery-powered APIs every day."

Mashery helps organizations develop an API infrastructure to facilitate content and data sharing between communities and applications, enabling developers to create applications for mobile phones, social media sites or affiliate websites that can help companies drive sales, broker partnerships and build brands.

"This is a very exciting time for both the API industry and Mashery," said Barshack. "With customers like Best Buy, Netflix and the New York Times, Mashery is at the forefront of what's next on the web for business and I look forward to capitalizing on the API movement to extend the company's momentum in the marketplace."

With two decades of experience in marketing, eCommerce, media and technology, Barshack brings industry insight and vision that will help Mashery deliver the power of APIs to a broader market. Prior to Mashery, she served as VP of Worldwide Marketing at Mercado Software leading the team that re-branded the company and supported the sales department through key initiatives which helped triple sales year over year. As Director of Intercontinental Marketing at Silicon Graphics, Randi oversaw all marketing activities for Latin America and Asia Pacific. Prior to SGI, she was a founder and VP, Marketing at TeaLeaf Technology, a spin-off of SAP and industry leader.

Delyn Simons has been working directly with API developers building Web and mobile applications for over five years. At Mashery, Delyn will leverage her recent experience leading eBay's developer community and API platform marketing efforts to drive innovation in API infrastructure management for Mashery clients. Prior to eBay, she worked at collaboration software companies, Insero and Well Engaged/The Well, described by Wired magazine as the world's most influential online community. Delyn also worked in business development at IT publisher and tech events producer, CMP Media. At Mashery, Delyn brings remarkable knowledge of the developer community and strategic direction that enables Fortune 500 companies to extend the reach of their top brands and businesses.

"Mashery has an impressive network of more than 50,000 developers," said Simons. "By establishing strong relationships with independent developers and connecting them with compelling opportunities for their applications, Mashery can propel innovation for all types of businesses."
