Matich Family and Matich Foundation and Corporation to Be Honored With 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award

RIVERSIDE, CA--(Marketwire - November 12, 2007) - The Martin A. Matich family, Matich Foundation and Matich Corporation will receive the 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award at the 5th Annual Spirit of the Entrepreneur awards gala scheduled for Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Riverside Convention Center.

"The Matich family deserves this recognition for their family's solidarity, business success and community involvement," said Mike Stull, founding organizer of the event and director of Cal State San Bernardino's Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE). Founded in 1918 by John Matich, Matich Corporation of Colton is one of the nation's most experienced construction firms. An industry leader in contracting, asphalt sales, construction management and design/build services, the Matich family has built some of the finest highways, airports, public works and military installation projects in the Western United States.

In its 3rd generation of ownership, Matich Corporation has been a successful family-managed firm for nearly 100 years. Headquartered in the Inland Empire, the Matich family has been actively involved with the community and corporate giving. The Matich Foundation was established by Martin and his sons to create a formalized process to support worthy causes in the region.
