Matt Spragins Named VP General Manager of Fisher Interactive Network

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - August 26, 2010) -  Fisher Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCI), a leader in local media innovation, announced today that it has hired Matt Spragins as VP General Manager of its digital division, Fisher Interactive Network. Matt's responsibilities will include implementing the Company's broadcast-to-broadband initiative across its network of station Web sites, over 125 hyperlocal community Web sites, and mobile platforms.

"Throughout his 14-year internet career, Matt has used his leadership, strategic planning and marketing skills to deliver profits to his divisions," said Randa Minkarah, Fisher's Senior Vice President Business Development. "As an experienced product management executive, Matt is the ideal candidate to lead the Fisher Interactive team."

Since 2006, Matt served as Senior Director of Product Management at RealNetworks, Inc., where he developed long-term growth strategies and created partnerships that enhanced Real's position in the marketplace. Prior to Real he worked as Principal Product Manager for AOL on Netscape in Columbus, Ohio.
