Mayor to Help Tri City Physiotherapy Celebrate Grand Opening and Support Charity

On April 29, Tri City Physiotherapy is hosting a grand opening event that will feature Cambridge Mayor Doug Craig and generate much-needed donations for the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank. Attendees can meet the clinic's staff, receive valuable health-related information and enjoy delicious food. In addition, food donors will have a chance to win a 32-inch LG LCD TV

CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 26, 2010) - Tri City Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation is excited to announce a grand opening celebration that will feature Cambridge Mayor Doug Craig and benefit an important local charity. The event, which is open to the public, will be held 4 to 7 p.m April 29 at 715 Coronation Blvd. Unit #4.

Mayor Craig will kick off the festivities with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a variety of other activities designed to make the community more familiar with the recently-opened Tri City Physiotherapy location. Clinic staff members will be on hand to greet the public, as well as share valuable information and delicious food.

Tri City Physiotherapy, which opened its doors in February, is committed to helping the local community. That's why the clinic is thrilled to partner with the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank to support individuals who are in need. Besides helping people put food on the table, the nonprofit organization also addresses employment and income needs. On the day of the grand opening, everyone is asked to bring at least one nonperishable food item for the food bank. Those who donate food will be entered into a draw to win a new 32-inch LG LCD TV valued at $500, as well as receive the satisfaction of supporting a worthy cause.

"Their donations will help provide food to more than 1,000 low-income households and 37 community agencies, as well as support programs that help families to move out of poverty," said Operations Team Leader Jeremy Cook.

Tri City Physiotherapy is one of the newest members of PT Health Physiotherapy, a leading Canadian network of physiotherapy providers. "As such we are able to leverage an extensive association of professionals and expertise while maintaining our focus on the community," Cook said. "This allows us to bring a higher level of specialized treatments to our patients and effectively optimize care."

In addition to being community-oriented, Tri City Physiotherapy is a patient-centered clinic that assists individuals with health issues and medical problems that restrict their ability to move and perform day-to-day functional abilities. Its patients are typically individuals who have been involved in an auto accident, sports injury or workplace injury, as well as people with extended health coverage through their employers. Tri City Physiotherapy uses a series of therapy programs, prescription exercises, and therapeutic modalities to help patients regain a healthier lifestyle as quickly as possible. "Our treatments are focused not just on a patient's current condition, but are designed to guide each patient toward his or her personal maximum functionality and a better quality of life," Cook said. "Regardless of the injury, our approach to care is always individualized and highly patient-focused."
