MedLink Signs Agreement With Microsoft HealthVault to Offer PHR Solution Through 100,000 Affiliated Physicians

ISLANDIA, NY--(Marketwire - August 4, 2008) - MedLink International, Inc. (OTCBB: MLKNA), a leading provider of clinical IT solutions to physicians, announced today that it has formalized its relationship with Microsoft Corp. through the execution the Microsoft HealthVault Solution Provider agreement. HealthVault is a software and services platform aimed at helping patients better manage their health information.

MedLink will market the HealthVault and MedLink connectivity to its network of affiliated physicians via its endorsements with medical societies and healthcare facilities, offering its free MedLink EHR Lite, allowing practitioners a means of sharing health information over the Internet with their patients. The MedLink EHR Lite, at no cost to physicians, offers free e-prescribing, lab ordering/results delivery, radiology images and reports, scheduling, patient chart, demographics and now the ability to share the continuity of care document (CCD) through MedLinkChart and HealthVault. The solution provides a more efficient and paperless means to improving patient care with the goal to reduce overall administrative costs.

"We are pleased to collaborate with MedLink to provide a solution that benefits both patients and doctors," said Nate McLemore, director of business development, Microsoft Health Solutions Group. "Through our cooperative efforts, we will provide a service that helps healthcare providers share information with other providers and help patients better manage their healthcare information, which are important steps to improving patient care."

Initially MedLink will make the CCD available to HealthVault users via connectivity with MyMedLinkChart.com, a free resource for patients and their healthcare providers. The CCD is essentially the patient chart which is created by physicians and networks and can be connected to HealthVault. The CCD can also be uploaded by physician users of either the MedLink TotalOffice EHR or the free MedLink EHR Lite, at the request of the patient, to provide the patients access to clinical patient data including: clinical problems list, procedures and treatments, family history, social history, insurance data, advanced legal directives, allergy alerts, current and relevant historical medications, immunizations, vital signs, lab results and care plans.

"MedLink TotalOffice EHR compatibility between MyMedLinkChart.com and HealthVault allows for physicians on the MedLink platform, upon patient request, to upload the patient chart (CCD), therefore empowering the patient to collect, store, share and manage their health information," said Ray Vuono, CEO of MedLink International, Inc. "By enabling patients and physicians to exchange essential health information, the patient is empowered with the tools to make better choices regarding their health."
