OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 19, 2009) - On Monday morning, Canada Army Run will issue a press release to officially "launch" the 2009 Canada Army Run, scheduled in Ottawa for September 20th. Last year's sold-out event made Canadian history by shattering records for the largest number of entrants (7000) for an inaugural run.

The Commander of the Army Lt. General Andrew B. Leslie, Run Director Major Chris Horeczy, and Race Organizer Jim Robinson (who is also the General Manager of Ottawa Race Weekend) will be available for photo opportunities and in-person interviews on Monday, between 3:30-4:30 p.m., at Cartier Drill Hall (the red brick building located directly beside Ottawa City Hall). The entrance to the facility faces North.
