Media Advisory: 7th Annual Scotiabank Walk, Roll & Run for Roger's House Presented by the Ottawa Citizen to Take Place June 20

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 17, 2010) - The Sens Foundation is inviting members of the media to attend the Scotiabank Walk, Roll & Run for Roger's House presented by the Ottawa Citizen on Sunday, June 20, at Scotiabank Place.

What: This year's Scotiabank Walk, Roll & Run for Roger's House presented by the Ottawa Citizen will feature a Tot-Trot, 2km PricewaterhouseCoopers route and 5km Mattamy Homes route. Event festivities include the Waste Management Family Fun Zone, located a Gate 1 of Scotiabank Place, as well as an array of activities for participants and families, including the Sens Street Tour, face painting, balloon artists, Little Ray's Reptiles and much more.

Event schedule:

8 a.m. – registration opens

9 a.m. – welcoming remarks

9:30 a.m. – Spartacat stretch

9:45 a.m. – Tot-Trot, 2km PricewaterhouseCoopers and 5km Mattamy Homes routes

10 a.m. – Waste Management Family Fun Zone opens

Noon – event concludes

Who: Sens Foundation president Danielle Robinson, Roger's House executive director Lloyd Cowin, Scotiabank vice-president Emily Farrell, family members of Roger's Dream Team, Senators in-game public address announcer Stuntman Stu, Senators defenceman Matt Carkner and forward Jesse Winchester.

When: Sunday, June 20, starting at 9 a.m.

Where: Scotiabank Place, Gate 1

The Sens Foundation has made a long-term commitment to cover a portion of the annual operating costs for Roger's House. Walk, Roll & Run provides an opportunity to get involved and support the Sens Foundation, while making an important and lasting contribution to countless children and their families who receive care at Roger's House. The fundraising goal for the seventh annual Walk, Roll & Run is $150,000.
