Media Advisory: Availability With Task Force Commander Operation Bronze (Bosnia-Herzegovina)/Close Out Ceremony

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 24, 2010) - To recognize the end of the Canadian Forces deployment in Bosnia-Herzegovina, a close out ceremony will be held on Monday, March 29, 2010 at NATO HQ SARAJEVO (Camp Butmir). The outgoing Task Force Commander will be available for interviews.

Operation Bronze began in 2004 and was the last of a long series of missions in the central Balkan nation. The primary focus of Operation Bronze was to assist with defence reform, especially to facilitate the re-integration of Balkan veterans of the wars into civil society, and the entry of Bosnia-Herzegovina into NATO's Partnership for Peace program.

What: The CF has deployed a combat camera team and Public Affairs Officer to Bosnia-Herzegovina to collect B-Roll footage of this historic event and provide media support.

When: Media opportunities exist between 26 and 29 March inclusive with supporting imagery being provided 29 March.
