Media Advisory/CNSC Information Session: Come Meet the Nuclear Safety Experts

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 20, 2008) - The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) will hold an information session on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in your community. The presentation will include highlights of CNSC's activities in 2007/2008, as well as the results of the 2007 Staff Report on the Safety Performance of the Canadian Nuclear Power Industry (Industry Report). CNSC staff will also update attendees on the Bruce Power application to build a new nuclear power plant.

These facilitated sessions will run from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with the presentation starting at 7:00. CNSC staff will be available afterwards for a question and answer period. Light refreshments will be served.
