Canada Post launches its letter to Santa Program

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 24, 2008) -



What: The 3100 locomotive to the North Pole is prepared to take
children's letters to Santa Claus. Postal Elves will help
Grade 1 French Immersion children from Vincent Massey School
address their letters to Santa. A Canada Post employee will
play the role of the conductor and will meet with children
and the media, as he gets ready for his magical journey to
the North Pole.

When: Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at
10:15 a.m.

Additional info: Each year, Santa receives more than one million letters from children around the world. More than 11,000 Canada Post employees, known affectionately as Postal Elves, volunteer their time to help Santa respond to his letter in the language in which they are received, including Braille.
