Media Advisory: Canada Post Foundation for Mental Health Awards More Than $1 Million in Grants

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 19, 2009) -

What: The Canada Post Foundation for Mental Health has awarded grants
totalling more than $1 million to organizations across the country.
Three Montreal organizations will receive the first grants awarded
by the Foundation at an official award ceremony. These organizations
are Revivre, AMI-Quebec and the Centre de la Croix Blanche de
Montreal.

Why: Canada Post established the Foundation, an independent
not-for-profit organization, because mental health is an issue that
affects people all over Canada.

In fact, in Canada, one in five people will suffer from a mental
illness at some time in their life. An even larger number will be
affected by the illness of a loved one, friend or colleague. Mental
health issues still carry a great deal of stigma, making them an
even greater challenge to face.

Who: Mr. Jean-Remy Provost, Executive Director, Revivre
Ms. Ella Amir, Executive Director, Ami-Quebec
Ms. Anne Deguise, Executive Director, Centre de la Croix Blanche de
Montreal
Stewart Bacon, Vice-president, Sales and Marketing, Canada Post

Where: Postal Station B
800 Rene-Levesque Blvd West - Ground Floor
Montreal

When: Tuesday October 20, 2009
1:30 pm
