Media Advisory: Canada's Progress at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change

POZNAN, POLAND--(Marketwire - Dec. 1, 2008) - The Government of Canada is providing daily technical briefings to media on Canada's progress in negotiations at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Poznan, Poland. Mr. Michael Martin, Canada's Ambassador for Climate Change and Chief Negotiator, will provide the briefings and be available to answer questions.

Media attending the conference may participate in person. They must be accredited and registered with the UNFCCC in order to gain access.

Event: Daily Media technical briefings

Date: December 1 - 10, 2008 (excluding December 7 and 9)

Canadian and international media not attending the conference may participate by telephone. In order to join the calls, media must pre-register with Environment Canada media relations by calling 819-934-8008. Media need only pre-register once.
