Media Advisory: Canadian Forces Liaison Council Signing Ceremony, Quebec City Hall

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 20, 2009) - Media are invited to attend a special ceremony hosted by the Canadian Forces Liaison Council (CFLC) at Quebec City Hall, Thursday, October 22, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. (DST). Leaders of five Quebec City-based institutions and businesses will sign Statements of Support for their employees who serve in Canada's Reserve Force. His Honour Pierre Duchesne, Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, Monsieur Regis Labeaume, the Mayor of Quebec, Mr John Eaton, National Chair CFLC, Major-General Dennis Tabbernor, Chief Reserves and Cadets, and other senior civilian and military dignitaries are expected to attend. As well, Quebec reservist veterans of the Afghanistan mission will be on hand for the ceremony.

The CFLC is a national organization of senior executives, educators and business leaders whose mandate is to enhance the availability of reservists for their military duties by obtaining support and cooperation of organization leaders in Canada. The Council offers information to reservists and employers on matters relating to employer support.
