Media Advisory - Canadian Hydro Holds Official Groundbreaking For $120-million Melancthon I Wind Project

What: Official Sod turning Ceremony to Celebrate Start of
Construction of $120 million Melancthon I Wind Project

Canadian Hydro Developers, Inc. holds an official ceremony
September 13 to celebrate the start of construction of its
$120 million Melancthon I Wind Project in the townships
of Melancthon and Grey Highlands near Shelburne in Southern
Ontario. This $120 million wind facility consists of 45 GE
wind turbines, each rated at 1.5 megawatts for a total
capacity of 67.5 megawatts. Once completed in early 2006,
the wind facility will generate enough green power to supply
more than 20,000 households each year. Construction is
moving along and five turbines have already been erected at
the project site.
