Media Advisory/Canadian Space Agency: Robert Thirsk is Coming Back Home

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 18, 2010) - After travelling more than 125 million kilometers and breaking his own Canadian record of time spent in space, Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Robert Thirsk is coming back as a national hero. It will be his first visit to Canada since he landed in Kazakhstan on December 1, 2009. The Honorable Denis Lebel, Minister of State (Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec), on behalf of the Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the CSA, will be on site to welcome and congratulate him.
