Media Advisory: Commissioner Publishes Study on Official Language Minority Community Vitality

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - May 16, 2006) - On Thursday, May 18 2006, the Commissioner of Official Languages, Dr. Dyane Adam, will to launch a new study entitled A Sharper View: Evaluating the Vitality of Official Language Minority Communities.

The Commissioner, along with Dr. Marc L. Johnson, Researcher at the Canadian Institute for Research on Linguistic Minorities and co-author of the study, will hold a press conference at 5:30 P.M. EDT on Thursday, May 18, 2006 (refreshments 5:00 p.m.) at the Mount Royal Centre, in the Salon Mont-Royal foyer, 4th floor, 2200 Mansfield St., in Montreal. The launch will take place in the context of the annual symposium of the Reseau de la recherche sur la francophonie canadienne and the Acfas annual convention.
