Media Advisory/DND: Fallen Soldier Returning Home

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 26, 2007) - Our fallen soldier, Corporal Nathan Hornburg, a Reserve soldier from the King's Own Calgary Regiment, based out of Calgary, Alberta, is scheduled to return home to Canada this Thursday.



Where: 8 Wing Trenton, Canadian Forces Base Trenton, Ontario.

When: Thursday, September 27, at 5:00 p.m.

What: Media are invited to view the arrival; however no
interviews will be given.


Present to pay their respects will be The Honourable Peter Gordon MacKay, Minister of National Defence and Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, and other dignitaries.

Corporal Hornburg was killed during Operation SADIQ SARBAAZ on September 24 at about 4:30 p.m. Kandahar time. The incident occurred approximately 47 km west of Kandahar City in the Panjwayi District.
