Media Advisory/DND: Repatriation Flight Delayed

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 27, 2007) - Due to mechanical difficulties with the CC-150 Polaris, the repatriation ceremony of Corporal Nathan Hornburg, a Reserve soldier from the King's Own Calgary Regiment, based out of Calgary, Alberta, is delayed until tomorrow.



Where: 8 Wing Trenton, Canadian Forces Base Trenton, Ontario.
When: Friday, September 28, at 3:00 p.m.
What: Media are invited to view the arrival; however no interviews will
be given.


Present to pay their respects will be Her Excellency, the Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, The Right Honourable Michaelle Jean, the Honourable Peter Gordon MacKay, Minister of National Defence and Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, and other dignitaries.

Corporal Hornburg was killed during Operation SADIQ SARBAAZ on September 24 at about 4:30 p.m. Kandahar time. The incident occurred approximately 47 km west of Kandahar City in the Panjwayi District.
